Medical-Sports Evaluation (Check up): It consists of the complete analysis of the person either: non-athlete, recreational athlete or professional athlete. This in order to detect existing asymptomatic conditions and / or to be able to plan an adequate training strategy according to the physical abilities of each person. In athletes who compete at any level, it is used to exploit their physical abilities in order to lead them to better sports performance and to detect any physical capacity where it is required to emphasize training. A series of tests are performed including: Specialized medical consultation, Body composition analysis, Electrocardiography, Stress test. It is complemented with exercise program and nutritional counseling.

Body composition analysis: Through anthropometric studies (plicometry and bioimpedance) the amounts of body fat, muscle, water and bone of each person are mesured and compared against the ideals according to each sport and it’s level.

Electrocardiography: Electrocardiography (ECG) is a quick, simple, painless procedure in which the heart’s electrical impulses are amplified and recorded. This record, the electrocardiogram (also known as an ECG), provides information about the

  • Part of the heart that triggers each heartbeat (the pacemaker, called the sinoatrial or sinus node)
  • Nerve conduction pathways of the heart
  • Rate and rhythm of the heart

Stress test: Cardiovascular study where the response of the heart and blood pressure is evaluated during different intensities of physical exertion on a treadmill , serves to diagnose ischemic heart disease (infarction), hypertension during exercise and evaluation of the cardiovascular adaptation to physical exertion.
